Occupational health
Occupational Health Testing, Vaccines, & Documentation — Handled Clearly.
No Runaround. No Guessing What the Form Actually Needs. Just the Right Next Steps, Completed Properly.
Workplace health requirements can feel like one more thing to figure out before you can actually start the job, placement, project, or program you've been working toward.
You might need TB testing, vaccine updates, bloodwork, urine collection, mask fit testing, forms completed, or documentation signed — and it's not always obvious what needs to happen first, what's actually required versus optional, or where to even begin.
JEMA helps workers, students, and employers understand what's needed and complete the right steps as clearly and efficiently as possible. You don't need to have it all figured out before you contact us — figuring it out is part of what we do.
Have a Form but Not Sure What It's Asking For? Bring It to Us.
Workplace, school, and placement forms use language that isn't always straightforward — and the consequences of getting them wrong are usually a delay you can't afford at this stage.
JEMA can review the form with you, explain what's required and what's optional, identify what testing or documentation is still needed, and help you get through the process without guessing.
You'll leave knowing exactly what's been completed, what still needs to happen, and whether a follow-up appointment is required.
Some clients come in with a form. Some come with an email from an employer. Some only know they need "testing" and aren't sure which kind. All of that is fine — we'll start wherever you are.
Occupational Services
JEMA Provides the Following Occupational Health and Workplace Services. If You're Not Sure Which One You Need, the Workplace Consultation Is the Right Place to Start.
01
Workplace Consultations
A workplace consultation is the starting point for anyone who's not sure exactly what's required — or who has a list of requirements and needs help understanding what JEMA can complete and in what order.
We'll review your requirements, explain what's needed, identify what's missing, and put together a clear next-step plan. This may include immunization record review, vaccine requirement review, TB screening, form review and completion, and guidance on incomplete or unavailable records.
Workplace consultations are available in-person or virtually, depending on what's needed. Services that require an in-person visit — vaccines, TB testing, mask fit testing, blood and urine collection — must be completed at the clinic.
02
TB Testing
JEMA offers TB testing for clients who need it for employment, clinical placements, school or university forms, long-term care settings, volunteer roles, newcomer or immigration-related requirements, or other workplace health documentation.
JEMA uses the TST (Mantoux skin test) for TB testing. This requires a return visit within a specific timeframe — typically 48 hours after the initial test — for the reading to be assessed and documented. JEMA will explain the timing and exactly what to expect at your appointment, so there are no surprises around scheduling.
03
Mask Fit Testing
Mask fit testing confirms whether a respirator — most commonly an N95 — fits securely and provides an appropriate seal for the individual wearing it. Many healthcare, clinical, and industrial workplaces require documented proof of fit testing before workers or students can begin.
JEMA completes the required fit test process and provides the documentation your school, workplace, or employer needs for their records.
This service is commonly needed by healthcare students, nursing and medical students, healthcare workers, long-term care staff, and employees in workplaces with respirator requirements.
04
Blood and Urine Collection
JEMA provides blood and urine collection for clients who require testing for school, work, clinical placements, occupational health programs, or other health documentation requirements.
If your form or instructions are unclear about what's being requested, we can review the paperwork with you, explain the process, and make sure the right tests are ordered and completed correctly before anything is collected.
07
Support for Employers and Organizations
JEMA works with employers and organizations who need reliable support for employee health requirements, vaccine documentation, mask fit testing, and occupational health coordination across a team.
If you're booking for a group or need ongoing support for employee health compliance, contact JEMA to discuss the best approach. Depending on service and availability, on-site or mobile clinic arrangements may be possible.
05
Occupational Vaccines
JEMA offers a range of routine, workplace, school, and preventive vaccines onsite. Our team can review your vaccine history, identify missing doses or incomplete series, and provide updated documentation when needed.
Vaccines that commonly come up in occupational and workplace contexts include: Hepatitis B · MMR · Tdap / Adacel · Varicella · Influenza · COVID-19 · HPV / Gardasil · Rabies · Pneumococcal vaccines — and others depending on your role, records, and requirements.
Vaccine availability may vary — contact the clinic before booking if you need a specific vaccine confirmed.
06
Work and School Forms
JEMA helps students, workers, and employers understand and complete health-related forms for school, placements, employment, and workplace programs.
If you have a form that requires immunization records, TB screening, bloodwork, urine testing, vaccine updates, or documentation sign-off, JEMA can handle the components we're equipped to complete and guide you on any steps that need to happen elsewhere.
Forms are stressful when timing matters. We'll help you understand what's missing, what can be completed at JEMA, and what your next step is — so you're not going in circles trying to figure it out on your own.
